Maybe you have children in the home that will be heading to school soon. Or maybe you have a newborn and you want to make sure he or she is prepared for the school world in a few years. Check out ReadyWeb (a collection of resources on school readiness sponsored by the ECAP Collaborative, College of Education, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign). Take a look at their Virtual Library page (complete with children's artwork!). It includes a ton of great articles with tips on getting your child prepared to handle their new environment at school.

Hi Moms,
What has worked for me is to first learn your child's weakness. Meaning see how their memory works first. The next step is to start off with simple things that you remember when you went to the first grade or preschool, depending on what you are getting them ready for. See, the key is to send them to school already with knowledge and ready to get more. And as they come home with homework, trust you will start to remember what you learn so you can help your child. So study your baby first and god will give you the wisdom you need to help your baby.....I'll have more but let's take one step at a time. Because if nothing else we want our kids to understand what they are reading, writing, and most of all saying.
